MVA Capital Campaigns

A cash gift is the simplest and most direct way to contribute. It can be put to work immediately and may lower your taxable income. We accept credit card payments for added convenience, with options for one-time or recurring contributions.

Gifts of securities or real estate can offer additional tax benefits. Generally, an income tax deduction can be taken for the full market value of an appreciated asset, with no capital gains tax owed. Depreciated assets sold for a loss can be gifted as cash contributions, allowing for both a capital loss and a charitable contribution. Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from an IRA are also accepted, avoiding income tax for the donor.

Planned gifts and bequests often support our endowment and help sustain Montverde Academy while allowing your philanthropic legacy to endure. Many options, including charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, can provide income for your lifetime or that of a loved one. Gifts from your estate are exempt from federal estate tax.

Also known as in-kind donations, these gifts provide materials, goods, or services needed for development and construction that Montverde Academy would otherwise have to purchase. The value of these donations can be recorded by the donor as the amount the Academy would have to pay for similar items.
