Day Camp FAQs

• Our Summer Day Camp programs are designed for children aged 4-12.
• Campers should enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities, be able to cooperate with others, and thrive in a group setting.
• Activities include games, sports, arts & crafts, swimming, field trips, and more—all supervised by our trained staff.
• Ideal for campers who enjoy physical activity and spending time outdoors.
• Please note:
  • Campers must be fully potty trained.
  • Campers must be at least four years old by the start of the camp session.
• We are unable to accommodate campers who require assistance with feeding, toileting, or changing clothes.

• Yes, we have a full eight-week calendar for each age group.
• The schedule includes field trips, activities, on-campus vendor visits, and other fun events.
• Campers will enjoy a variety of activities:
•  Arts, sports, games, playtime, and swimming (for those who are comfortable).
• Alternative activities will be provided for those who prefer not to participate in certain activities.
• The schedule also includes a time-block for each activity, including lunch and pool time.
• Campers can visit the student center snack store daily. Snacks range from $.50 to $3.00, with a limit of two candy items per day.
• Campers do not need to bring money for snacks, but you may send cash if you’d like.

• Our Summer Day Camp and Club MVA programs run for eight weeks June 2 -July 25, 2025.
• You can register for specific weeks that work for your schedule.
• No camp on Friday, July 4th (Independence Day).
• Tuition covers:
  • Swimming, fishing, arts & crafts, field trips, on-campus entertainment, and a daily hot lunch buffet.

Camp Hours:

• Before Care: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. ($25 per week)
• Regular Drop-off: 8:30 - 8:45 a.m.
• Camp Hours: 9 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
• Regular Pickup: 3:45 - 4:15 p.m.
• After Care: 4:15 - 5:30 p.m. ($35 per week)

Before & After Care Bundle:

• Combined cost: $50 per week.

Late Pickup Fees:

• Late fee after 5:30 p.m.: $20.
• Additional $1 per minute after 5:40 p.m..
   

• Please refer to our packing list for everything your camper will need.
• Campers will receive a Montverde Academy camp T-shirt on the first day, which they must wear on field trip days.
• Don’t forget:
  •  Water bottle, swimwear, and towel.
  • Any personal items your child may need during the day.
• Lunch & Snacks: 
  • Campers may bring their own lunch and extra snacks.
  • If your child has food allergies, please let us know in advance by emailing summerprograms@montverde.org.

• We send weekly reminders to the email on file in our CampBrain system.
• Includes important updates, potential schedule changes, and activity/field trip reminders.
• Please ensure:
  • Your email and phone number are up-to-date in your account.
  • Your spam filter allows emails from summerprograms@montverde.org.
• If there’s an urgent need, we’ll contact you via phone at the number you’ve provided.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or harassment of any kind.

• Campers are expected to:
• Treat each other, staff, and property with respect.
• Follow rules and guidelines to maintain a positive camp experience.
• If a camper exhibits disruptive or inappropriate behavior, our Camp Director will:
• Assess the situation and determine the next steps.
• Possible outcomes include warning, behavior modification, or removal from the camp.
• Severe behaviors such as bullying, violence, or repeated disruptions may result in immediate dismissal from the program, with no refund.

• In case of an injury or illness, we will contact you and any emergency contacts listed in your camper’s profile.
• If a camper shows symptoms (fever, cough, etc.), we will ask them to go home, and you’ll be notified to pick them up.
• Please keep your camper home if they have a fever to prevent spreading illness.
• Refund or return to camp will be addressed on case by case basis.

• Refunds are not available for cancellations, missed days, or changes in plans.
• Deposits are non-refundable after the first 24 hours of registration.
• Full refund (minus deposit) if you cancel before May 15.
• There is a 50 percent refund (minus deposit) if you cancel at least seven days before the camp session starts.
• Costs are listed per week for each camp session. Once enrolled, your camper’s spot is held whether you choose to attend or not. 

A full refund (less deposit) will only be issued under the following circumstances:

• Camp is canceled due to minimum enrollment not being met.

• Extreme weather: If campus is closed due to extreme weather, parents/ guardians will be notified via email. Parents/guardians that make the decision to not attend when campus is open will not be refunded or credited.

After the initial 24-hour registration period, deposits are non-refundable. Prior to May 15, a full refund will be issued, less the deposit. After May 15 and at least 14 days before the camp start date, a 50% refund will be issued, less the deposit
