Student Pickup and Drop-off

Upper School Day Students

Students should plan to arrive no later than 7:40 a.m. as the first class period will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m; students arriving late will receive a tardy referral to the Dean of Students Office.

Parking Decals for Day Students who drive:
All day students (including those who currently have a parking decal) who plan to park on campus at any time during the school year should complete the Day Student Parking Form and bring it with them to registration.

Drop-off/pick up OPTION 1: on 9th Street:
Parents may drop-off and pick up their children west of the Upper School classroom building on 9th Street. Traffic should enter on Academy Lane, turn right on 9th Street, and then exit at Country Road 455 near Sourcelink Communication or by turning right on Porter Ave.
  • Parents heading north to Tavares will turn left on 455.
Drop-off/pick up OPTION 2: at the Nest:
Parents can also drop-off and pick up their children at the Nest.
Middle School Day Students

Parents will follow the same procedure as last year, taking 7th Street (coming from Winter Garden) left onto Boardman Boulevard and dropping their children in the drive directly in front of the Middle School building. Please do not drop off in the parking lot in front of the building or at any other location within the circle.
Lower School Students

Parents will follow the same procedure as last year, taking 7th Street (coming from Winter Garden) right onto Boardman Boulevard and dropping their children in the drive directly in front of the Lower School building. Please do not drop off in the parking lot in front of the building or at any other location within the circle.

Lower School parents who need to park for any reason during car line in both a.m. and p.m. should park in the gym parking lot and walk to the Lower School. There is no parking in the Lower School loop during drop-off and dismissal times.
All Parents, Students and Employees

Security guards and school staff will be present to ensure the safety of students crossing traffic. To help to ensure student safety, we ask for your patience while dropping off and picking up students, and we ask that Upper School parents not use Boardman Boulevard or Porter Avenue for drop off or pick up. We also ask that you never park (or sit at idle) in areas that are designated as “No Parking” areas.

Please remember that Montverde Academy is a pedestrian campus, with hundreds of students and employees traversing our campus on a daily basis; therefore, the use of cell phones or any other electronic devices is strictly prohibited while driving on campus.

In addition, courtesy toward other members of our school community is required. Because we want our students to have a safe environment, inappropriate or aggressive behavior while driving on campus will result in the suspension of driving privileges on campus. Repeated violations will be considered a breach of the enrollment agreement.

Please note that the speed limit on CR 455 (7th Street) has been
reduced to 25mph in the area surrounding the school.
