Celebrating Education 2019 Is coming!

Lower School Performances Get Audiences in the Holiday Spirit

Our annual Lower School performances recently took place to packed houses both nights. Proud parents were treated to holiday themed offerings from one of the classes at each grade level. Ms. Cunningham, theatre arts teacher, directed all of the performances, except first grade, which was directed by Mrs. Mobley, our music teacher.
Mrs. Kusterman’s kindergarten class performed “Christmas Cookies and Holiday Hearts” where elves and bakers celebrated different Christmas cookies. First graders in Mrs. Synovec’s class presented “The Mice Before Christmas” where mischievous mice are messing up the toys that the elves are making.
“Twinkle and Shine” performed by Mrs. Fracker’s second grade class starred Twinkle (Talei Price) and Shine (Brady Burton) who helped create a special “living” Christmas tree. A new play, “Once on a Housetop,” was performed by Mrs. Tannenhill’s third grade class. Chimney sweeps learned about different holidays when they peer down the chimneys. Meliana Casserino played Big Sweep, who led this multi-cultural celebration.
Mr. Hand’s fourth grade class headed west to celebrate “Christmas at the O.K. Corral.”  When Bubble Gum Bart (Mr. Hand) threatens the townsfolk of Snowy Gulch for celebrating Christmas, they turn to Santa (Enzo Fatone) for help, who calls on the Candy Cane Kid (Christian Perez) and his trusty reindeer, Ralph (Gino Garcia) to save the day. “Jingle Bell Jukebox,” another new play, was performed by Mrs. Meder’s fifth grade class. Ruby (Sophia Flanigan) spices up the holidays with her jukebox and tasty treats.
Finally, the annual Christmas pageant rounded out the holiday performances for students in the Lower School.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated and thank you to the teachers and volunteers who made the production possible.
