Montverde Academy is back to a bustling campus as students started back to school for the 2018-19 year! More than 1350 students arrived in the morning ready to kick off the new year.
Students arrived to find the upper/middle school loop moving more quickly with the addition of a new turning lane to exit the loop. Upper school students will benefit from the addition of two new science labs to the Jörn Kreke Science Building classroom renovations. Arnold Hall residents were excited by refreshing renovations completed to that dormitory over the summer.
Our Lower School science lab has been converted to a COLLABoratory, a collaborative laboratory space, that will maximize space for hands-on STEM activities. The computer lab has been upgraded to all Mac computers, which will allow for new computer classes to be added.
For athletics, the installation of an artificial turf field for soccer has been completed. This new field is designed to withstand the sheer number of activities hosted on the fields and be easily maintained while providing the best, safest surface for student-athletes to play on. New batting cages are nearing completion and will be used by both baseball and softball teams.
We are happy to welcome returning and new families to the 2018-19 Montverde Academy school year!
