Montverde Academy Athletics Wins NAAPS Commissioner’s Cup

We are proud to announce that Montverde Academy’s athletic programs have been awarded the Commissioner’s Cup in the Elite Division, which is 900+ high school students or play a national schedule, by the National Athletic Association of Private Schools (NAAPS) for the 2017-18 season. The Commissioner’s Cup is considered one of the most prestigious awards an athletic program can win.

The NAAPS adds male and female sports points together to determine the highest points earned. Points are earned when a private school is ranked in the final national rankings of any NAAPS sanctioned sport, national championship, All-Americans, All-Region, and state award winners. Based on the outstanding seasons that many of our athletic teams achieved, MVA earned the Commissioner’s Cup winning two National Championships in basketball and soccer, having four teams nationally ranked and producing eight All-American players in a variety of sports.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, whose hard work made it possible!
