Reading Resources for All Ages

There is a plethora of free online resources for rabid readers of all ages. Here’s a list of resources to find your next riveting read!
 
  • Openculture offers some of the books that MVA’s English department uses.
  • BookRix has almost 1,000 free ebooks in its Juvenile fiction category. These are available for free download in EPUB or for free reading online.
  • Booksie has over 13,000 works in its young adult category. These range from short stories to novels and are unique works of unpublished authors.
  • DigiLibraries has over 2,000 ebooks in their juvenile fiction category, 200 works in Juvenile non-fiction, and 27 ebooks in their Juvenile Horror & Ghost Stories category, all FREE.
  • FeedBooks offers nearly 200 free novels in its Original Books Juvenile & Young Adult genre and over 100 free novels in their Public domain (classic) Juvenile & Young Adult section.
  • GoodReads has a listing of 95 free young adult ebooks.
  • The Internet Archive, also known as Archive.org, is one of the web’s largest sources for free media. It offers over 2.5 million free ebooks and electronic texts.
  • MagicKeys has books for younger children, older children and young adults. All are available for free reading online without registration.
  • ManyBooks.net has 20,000+ FREE books for young readers*, young adults and adults. Parental guidance is suggested for children under 12.
  • Page By Page is for lovers of the classics, who will find hundreds of books to read. The site includes works by renowned authors like Dickens, Doyle, London and Poe.
  • Boasting more than 25,000 titles, Project Gutenberg is widely be considered the ultimate source for free books online. New books are constantly being added to Gutenberg’s online catalog.
  • PublicBookShelf has five free online novels for teens. Two are classics and three are newer and unique works.
  • Read.gov has six classic novels for teens available for free reading online or free download in PDF.
  • With more than 5,000 free books, including classics and rare works, Questia has an online library that is a must see for any reader.
