Lower School Honors Program Highlights

The annual Lower School Honors program was hosted virtually to recognize students for achievement, citizenship, honor roll, and more. Mrs. Shackelford and Mrs. Beucher expressed how much the Lower School misses all of the students. The program included a special performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” by Ben Gulley followed by a slideshow to honor and recognize the kindergarten students who will become first-grade student, and the fifth-grade students who have graduated from the Lower School to become sixth-grade students in the Middle School. Congratulations to all of our Lower School students and families for working hard through a truly unprecedented year!
Please take a moment to watch (or re-watch) the presentation and read through the program.
Dean’s Awards
The Dean’s Awards are given to the students who most exemplify the characters found in the MVA Mission Statement of Character, Knowledge and Community. It is our hope that Lower School students will aspire to be the recipients of these awards as they mature toward the upper grades at the Lower School.
