22 MVA Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Emilio Giler, Sports Information Director
Montverde Academy is proud to announce that 22 student-athletes participated in the third National Signing Day, marking the first time that these high school seniors can sign a binding National Letter of Intent to play collegiate sports with their respective college or university that they have chosen. Collectively, student-athletes earned full and partial scholarships totaling more than $545,000.00.

Some of the National Letters of Intent that were signed included prestigious colleges such as Duke University, University of Pittsburg, University of Central Florida, Clemson University, University of Louisville, Florida Gulf Coast University, and more.

The MVA signing ceremony is usually held at the EdgeCenter for Sportsmanship and Wellness during the Upper School assembly. However, due to COVID 19 preventative measures, the signees took the opportunity to film their own honorary ceremonies back home with their immediate families. Check out this compilation video of our signees.

"The entire Montverde Academy community congratulates our student-athletes and their families on their tremendous accomplishment," said Dr. Kasey C. Kesselring, Headmaster at Montverde Academy. "Despite what's going during these times, we take great pride in celebrating and recognizing each student athlete's national letter of intent as it is the culmination of many years of hard work and sacrifice. We wish our students continued success and look forward to watching them pursue their passion at the collegiate level."
