Layla Busby Wins Second Place in State SAR Poster Contest

The Sons of the American Revolution’s local chapter hosts an annual poster contest that MVA students can choose to submit an entry for. This year’s theme was the Battle of Thomas Creek. The entries are judged based on the originality, the evidence of research, artistic merit and creativity, and accurate reflection of the event.
We are proud to announce that fifth-grade student, Layla Busby’s entry earned first place in the SAR chapter’s competition, which qualified her to move to the state competition, where she earned a second-place finish.
Congratulations Layla!
