Giving Thanks at the Lower School’s Thanksgiving Feast
Montverde Academy hosted its annual Thanksgiving Feast for the Lower School students. Our Thanksgiving Feast is a time for families to come together and give thanks for the incredible things that they have in their lives. Students and families can share their meal and feel more at home by celebrating this joyous holiday.
PreK-3 and PreK-4 enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, November 19 with their families. On Wednesday, Kindergarten, first and second grade enjoyed their Thanksgiving Feasts followed by the third, fourth and fifth grade students sharing a feast with their families on Thursday.
Families feasted on free-range turkey breast, Virginia Pit ham with honey, whipped Idaho mashed potatoes, natural roast turkey gravy, house-made stuffing, fresh South Florida green beans, sweet potato crunch, pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie with real whipped cream, and Georgia pecan pie were all served with the roast turkey and the cranberry sauce the biggest hits. There was also delicious hot coffee with whipped cream sweetener for the adults.
The dining staff at Montverde Academy continues to shine this year with the way they are preparing dining hall food. We would like to thank them for their hard work this year, because, without them, none of this would be possible. We also thank everyone who contributed to making this event a success! This year was a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast made possible by the hard work from the dining staff at MVA!
