Mary-Kay Rath joins MVA as the inaugural executive director of the MVA Arts Alliance Booster Club. In this part-time position, she will utilize her knowledge and experience in fundraising to recruit and retain Arts Alliance members, who provide vital support for MVA’s vibrant fine arts programs.
Mrs. Rath joins MVA from Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, where she served as the Development Manager for six years identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and corporate donors across a 12-parish territory. Prior to Second Harvest, she held fundraising and event management positions with the United Way, Lake Erie College and Saint James School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
“With extensive and demonstrated experience in fundraising, client relationship management, and volunteer engagement, I am confident that Mary-Kay’s passion for service and fundraising in the non-profit sector will be a valuable asset to the success of the Arts Alliance,” said Dr. Kasey C.
