College may still be a ways off for our sophomores, but it never hurts to plan. On March 7 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., students will attend the Sophomore College Experience in the Fine Arts building to further plan for college. The event will feature 14 college representatives who will speak on the importance of the college essay, navigating the admission process, differences between a public and private school, choosing a major, benefits of living on campus, and more. They will then briefly talk about their individual schools.
Following the presentations, a mini college fair will be hosted in the George Rast Library to give students the opportunity to visit with the representatives. Some of the schools joining us include Rollins College, UCF, The Ohio State University, University of Alabama, Johnson & Wales, and Berry College.
Parents are welcome to attend and asked to sit at the back of the theatre.
