Fall Concert Spotlights Talented Vocalists

Our audience was treated to one of the best Fall Concerts our students have performed so far this year. The choir performed a trio of songs from the African continent: “Jambo,” a song from Kenya performed in Swahili, “All Night All Day,” a traditional African American spiritual based on an Ethiopian melody, and “Aya Ngena,” from South Africa sung in Zulu.
The Select Choir performed six a cappella selections that ranged from the Renaissance era to modern pop music and American patriotic tunes. Their beautiful rendition of “White Christmas,” provided the audience with a taste of what they have been preparing for the upcoming holiday season. They recently performed the “Star Spangled Banner,” which is a selection they have perfected, at the Orlando Magic game. They earned high praise from the audience and Magic staff.
There were many more wonderful performances by our talented students. It was a lovely evening of music that everyone enjoyed. Congratulations to all of our accomplished musicians and vocalists!
