Montverde Academy Flight School Success

The rising sixth grade students, Class of 2025, attended Flight School on Tuesday, August 14, to prepare for their launch into middle school. Flight School is an opportunity for middle school students to locate classrooms, get to know middle school teachers and staff, meet current middle school students, and become more at ease with the new surroundings before school officially starts. Students brought in all their school supplies and were warmly welcomed to campus.
Student volunteers from National Junior Honor Society were available to help the new middle school students sort their supplies, organize their lockers, operate the lock, tour them around the campus, and answer any questions to ensure a smooth transition into middle school life.

Student feedback was very positive! "Flight school was awesome because I was able to open the lock for my locker," said Kristy K. "Flight school was really fun because I got to explore the school," said Sophie P. Hayden V said, "Flight school was really fun because I got to decorate my locker."
Thank you to everyone who made Flight School a success. The Class of 2025 is ready to stretch their wings and soar in to middle school as an MVA eagle!
