MVA Alumnus Addresses Audience at Harvard’s Commencement

Congratulations to Montverde Academy alumnus Christopher Egi,(’14) who just graduated from Harvard University. A native of Toronto, Canada, born of Nigerian immigrants, Christopher was an outstanding student-athlete who was a member of the basketball team that earned the first national high school championship in 2014 for the Eagles.
Upon graduation from MVA, he matriculated to Harvard, pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in economics and serving as the captain of the Harvard men’s basketball team.  He plans to work at Goldman Sachs after graduation.
Christopher continued his pursuit of excellence at Harvard, earning the honor of being selected to deliver the Senior English Address at Harvard's 367th Commencement on May 24, 2018 at Tercentenary Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. According to The Harvard Gazette, being chosen to speak at Commencement is "considered among the highest honors a student can achieve." The selection process began in early March, with final auditions in late April. Christopher spoke from memory before an audience of 32,000 graduating students, their family members, and friends.
