Lower School Hosts Successful Food Drive

Our lower school food drive successfully filled two vehicles with a variety of food items for the FAITH Neighborhood Center, FAITH stands for Feed And Instruct the Hungry. The FAITH Neighborhood Center is a food bank and service center that supports low income families and individuals in South Lake County. In 2017, the volunteer-based organization served more than 7,000 local families, that includes approximately 10,745 children, providing food, medical services, job training, cooking and computer classes, and more.
Our week-long food drive resulted in more than 3,000 pounds of food items like juice boxes, canned fruit, pasta, sauce, baby food, peanut butter, and more! All of the food donated directly supports families who live in South Lake County. Thank you to our families who contributed to the drive.
