24 Seventh-grade students inducted into Duke TIP program

The Montverde Academy family is extremely proud to announce that we have had another group of students qualify to become members of Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program).  On October 12, 24 students were recognized in the Martha Bedell Dining Hall. These students scored in the 95th percentile on the ERB Standardized test last spring. Duke University uses the Duke TIP program to seek out academically gifted and talented youth and provide them with opportunities to recognize and maximize their academic potential. As part of this program, in addition to the recognition and support provided by Duke,  seventh graders are able to take high school entrance exams, such as the SAT or ACT, alongside high school students.
At Montverde Academy, we foster these young achievers with classes to prepare them for these exams as well as additional academic resources. Congratulations to the students below!
