MVA Mentor Connect

MVA Mentor Connect is designed to take advantage of our vast alumni base to enhance the careers of our young alumni.  The success of the program requires commitment from both the mentor and the mentee. In addition to gaining insight on industry outlook, emerging trends, and possible job shadowing, internship, or employment openings, mentees can learn from experienced pros about a variety of essential topics: negotiating workplace culture and etiquette, resume-building, acing the interview, recommendations for auxiliary training or certifications, and other necessary tips and tools for success.

Providing invaluable support to MVA through gifts of time and talent, mentors can leverage specific and general employment expertise, share lessons learned and field perspective, network with fellow colleagues, and deliver critical, practical, and timely career guidance to younger MVA alumni.Our primary goal is to pair alumni that graduated from MVA within the last 3-7 years with an alumnus in their respective field of interest with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The Office of Alumni Relations will send out a feedback survey at the 6-month and 12-month mark of the mentorship period.
