Students Make Core Memories During Kindergarten Apple Week

Students Make Core Memories During Kindergarten Apple Week

Our kindergartners welcomed fall with a week full of apples, hands-on learning and plenty of delicious discoveries!

Throughout the week, apple-themed activities were woven into their lessons. Students built apple towers while practicing STEM skills, coordination, teamwork and problem-solving. They created apple necklaces, read about Johnny Appleseed, and made their own Johnny Appleseed hats. They tasted different apples, created apple graphs, made homemade applesauce, and even whipped up apple slushies!

And, of course, there were plenty of apple-themed snacks along the way.

From literacy and math to science, STEM, fine motor skills and collaboration, Apple Week gave students a fun and engaging way to connect their classroom learning to a favorite component of the season.
