Rising Senior Takes on the Courtroom at Stetson University

Rising Senior Takes on the Courtroom at Stetson University

Rising senior Arthur Romero Rabello completed Stetson University’s Criminal Mock Trial Camp, where he spent an intensive week learning the fundamentals of criminal law, including how evidence is collected, analyzed, and strategically presented during a trial.

Working alongside attorneys and law students, he developed courtroom advocacy skills through witness examinations, objections, and trial preparation. The program culminated in a mock criminal trial at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand, where Arthur conducted the defense’s cross-examination of a witness and delivered the closing argument, applying everything he had learned in a real courtroom setting and gaining valuable experience in public speaking, critical thinking, and legal advocacy.

From the courtroom to the closing argument, Arthur gained firsthand experience that will serve him well as he pursues his academic and professional goals.
