Rising Montverde Academy Senior Presents Research at National Conference

Rising senior Daliya Mousa presented her clinical research, "Public Perceptions of Facial Scars and Social Bias," at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Annual Meeting on July 11, 2026. This study examined how facial scars influence public perceptions and explored the social biases that can affect individuals in everyday and healthcare settings.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to share my findings with healthcare professionals and to contribute to discussions on patient-centered care and equity," said Daliya. "I'm excited that this work will be published in the coming months and thankful to everyone who supported this project along the way."

Congratulations to Daliya on this incredible accomplishment!
