MVA Troubadours Perform for Madison at Clermont Residents

The MVA Troubadours gave their first performance on Monday, November 3, at Madison at Clermont: Assisted Living Facility! Seven talented MVA students performed beautiful music for the residents in a 45-minute program filled with heart and harmony. 

Formed at the start of this school year, the Troubadours give students the opportunity to earn community service hours by sharing the gift of music with the elderly. 

Performers included:

• Freshman Aman Aggarwal – classical piano pieces
• Sophomore Wendy Hu – sang a Chinese song while accompanying herself on piano
• Senior Ashley Garcia – piano accompaniment for several performers
• Sophomores Sophia Liu and Meera Patel – violin performances
• Junior Luke Wakim – vocals with a custom backing track
• Junior Maddie Hewadpal – tambourine

The MVA Troubadours were founded by MVA math teacher Mr. John Shea, who has years of experience performing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. He also joined in the fun, singing a song with accompaniment by Ashley and Maddie! 

MVA’s new physics teacher, Mr. John Winchester, attended as well and plans to join the next performance on saxophone!
