Montverde Academy Inducts 130 New Members into the National Honor Society

On Tuesday, March 24, the Montverde Academy Upper School welcomed students, parents, and faculty to celebrate the induction of 130 students into the National Honor Society (NHS). Selected by Upper School faculty for their excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character, these students have earned one of the highest academic honors.

NHS President Sara Echavarria opened the ceremony with a few remarks, followed by an incredible piano performance by junior Ethan Huynh.

Sara Echavarria, NHS Vice President Jadyn Langley, NHS Secretary Ru Motwani, and NHS Historian Tatriana Hinds read the NHS Charter information regarding what each of the four pillars represents—scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Gina Li and Amy Zhang then performed an impressive Chinese piece on the piano and pipa.

Then Sara Echavarria led the new inductees in a recitation of the NHS Membership Pledge before the NHS officers inducted the new members.

Theatre Conservatory students Braelin Berry and Lilie Cruz dazzled the audience with a guitar and vocal performance ahead of a few closing remarks by Mr. David Bernatavitz, Assistant Head of School, Upper School and Student Affairs.

Congratulations to the Spring 2026 inductees on this wonderful achievement. We thank them for their commitment to leading through service, upholding the values of Montverde Academy, and making a positive impact within our community and beyond.
