Coach Rubin Brings Leadership Lessons Back to MVA

This summer, Montverde Academy Student-Athlete Development Coordinator and Assistant Girls Basketball Coach Taneka Rubin served as a Director with Point Guard College (PGC), one of the nation’s premier leadership and decision-making organizations for basketball players.

Throughout the summer, Ms. Rubin facilitated PGC’s nationally recognized curriculum for more than 500 student-athletes across multiple sessions, leading classroom instruction and on-court learning experiences focused on leadership, decision-making, communication, and basketball IQ.

The experience will directly enhance Montverde Academy’s Soar to Success student-athlete development program as Ms. Rubin brings back innovative teaching strategies and leadership development practices to better serve MVA athletes.

Having now impacted thousands of student-athletes through PGC over multiple summers, Ms. Rubin continues to establish herself as a leader in student-athlete development, combining elite basketball instruction with research-backed teaching methods to help athletes thrive on and off the court.
