The Montverde Academy Middle School division consists of Grades 6, 7 and 8.
The sixth grade is primarily self-contained; one teacher will stay with them most of the day. Each student is offered a wide range of learning opportunities. Much emphasis is placed on the child's need to develop a good academic background in the areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. Foreign language, computer technology, art, music, intramurals, drama, character education, study skills, life skills and library are also part of the curriculum. Throughout the year a variety of activities and curriculum related field trips are instituted to enhance the learning experience, ensure growth, responsibility and self-control. Much emphasis is placed on the child's need to develop good organizational skills and study habits that will facilitate future success in high school.
