Orientation Program - The MVA Way

The goal of The MVA Way is to assist new Upper School students, both residential and day, with becoming familiar with The MontVerde Academy Way. The Academy is going to be the student’s new home for the next nine months, and depending on their grade, years to come.

When thinking about colleges and the way their orientation is structured, most take great care in ensuring the incoming freshman have a working knowledge and comfort level with their new surroundings. This sets up the newcomers for success

A majority of our boarding students come from all over the country and world. By providing an opportunity for a smooth transition, our new students and families will be able to adjust with more ease. Also, this provides an opportunity for us to help them understand The MVA Way.
The following is information we would like to share about The MVA Way and the events you and your family can look forward to during opening weekend.

Once we welcome new families on campus, the boarding students are expected to remain on campus throughout the remainder of the week and weekend. Our experience has shown this to be important in the successful transition to Montverde Academy and the community.

Day Students: The MVA Way is designed exclusively for our new students. Parents/friends/family of new day students are encouraged to drop their student(s) off Saturday, before the first day of classes (specific date is TBD) at the Fine Arts Building and may be picked up at upon completion The MVA Way.

Boarding Students: We respectfully ask parents to depart campus at 5:15p.m. and not return until registration begins on Sunday. The MVA Way is designed exclusively for our new students. Parents/friends/family are encouraged to take advantage of the Orlando area's many attractions (i.e. Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Outlets, etc.).
Here is a brief overview of The MVA Way schedule. A detailed schedule of events will be posted closer to the first day of classes:
