As with all sports at Montverde Academy, the Girls Volleyball program is comprised of student athletes who appreciate the value of hard work and a demanding training schedule. Our practices are concentrated on building endurance, strength, and acquiring the essential skills to promote a winning season.

Taking on the role as a 1st year head Volleyball Coach for Montverde Academy is Christeena Bertinetti. Coach Bertinetti is originally from Texas and attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN as a four year starter for the highly ranked Lady Flames. After playing at the collegiate level she was asked to join the Lee University coaching staff and coached as an assistant for 2 years, contributing to a successful and diverse program. As a new addition to the Eagle coaching staff, Coach Bertinetti hopes to take advantage of the opportunity to build a stronger volleyball program and take the Lady Eagles on a new journey. Coach Bertinetti looks for potential in players to succeed, not just individually, but also as a team. Success is not determined by our record, but from how hard we work and what we learn from each match.

Note from Coach Bertinetti: “Throughout the 2011 season the team grew tremendously as individuals and as a unit. From day one at practice this team had the desire to be better than they were in the previous years and to play the game that they love. The willingness to work hard and the effort that these girls presented on the court this year is something that all coaches respect and look forward to daily. I am proud of what the girls accomplished this season despite the challenges faced, and I am looking forward to continuing to grow next year.”
