Cheerleading / Stunt Crew

The Jr. Varsity (grades 6-8) and Varsity (grades 9-12) squads cheer for Soccer and Basketball games. Cheerleading is open to both boys and girls. Boys have traditionally functioned as facilitators assisting in cheering aerobatic maneuvers in the "SC" (Stunt Crew).

Both programs are building and have recently been added over the last 2 years. We offer instruction on technique for motions and jumps. Participants are taught a variety of chants, cheers, jumps and dances. Participants attend annual Summer Camp and UCF stunt camps. There are mandatory tryouts for all participants. We are looking forward to growing the program and seeing the emerging talent of our current squads. Go Eagles!
 

Community Service

The Jr. Varsity and Varsity cheerleaders mentor younger students from the Lower School by their participation in the Cheer Club. Cheer Club is open to students of the Lower School from grades 2-5. The cheerleaders meet once a week with the Cheer Club teaching them jumps, motions, cheers, chants and a dance. They put together a routine that the Cheerleaders and Cheer Club perform together for the Annual MAIT Basketball Tournament. This has been a huge success and hopefully with become a feeder program for the JV and Varsity teams.
