Meals are included in the tuition price. Textbooks are leased to students and will remain the property of Montverde Academy. Texts that are not returned or are returned unusable will be billed to the student account at fair market value plus a 15% restocking fee. Payments are due by the due date or a late fee of $25.00 and finance charge of 1.5% of the outstanding balance will be charged to the account. Payment plans include a finance charge of 4%, 8% & 12% according to the term of the payment plan. A multiple child discount of $400.00 per child will be awarded for second and subsequent children from the same family. Multiple child discounts are not applicable to families receiving financial aid. A need based financial aid program is available to all families who wish to apply; applications are available in the admission office. Financial aid is awarded after fully completed applications and accompanying documentation is submitted and until the budget is depleted; applying early is highly encouraged. Copies of tax returns and W2 forms are required with the application to assist in determining need.

New Student Capital Fund Fee $750.00 (one time only) Required of all new enrollments enrolled toward capital building projects. Siblings of existing students are not exempt.
Laptop computer (grades 9-12) Required of all upper school students. Available for purchase at the Academy. Contact the school for current pricing and specifications. Laptops not purchased through the school must meet network requirements. Please inquire in advance for software and hardware requirements.
Uniforms Boarding families may purchase and pay for uniforms directly through the uniform company. Required polo shirts or other uniform accessories purchased through the student center will be billed to the student account according to the published price at the time of purchase. Boarding students who arrive without uniform items purchased through the uniform company will be taken to the uniform store for uniform purchase. A handling fee of 15% above purchase price will be added to the student account.
International Medical Insurance $1,000.00 (required of all international students unless proof of coverage is provided prior to arrival.)
Senior Fee (required seniors only) $700.00 (Required of all seniors - covers annual senior retreat and graduation expenses)
Middle School Retreat Fee $150.00 (Required of all 6th, 7th and 8th graders)
SAT/ACT Preparation Course+ $800.00 (Required of all Juniors and Seniors, no exceptions)
PSAT Preparation Workshop $40.00 (Required of all Freshman and Sophomores, no exceptions)

*The personal account for boarding students is used for miscellaneous billing such as school supplies, allowance, special transportation, medical appointments, prescriptions, school trips, etc... Any unused portion of the personal account is fully refundable or transferable to the tuition account. A monthly billing statement will be mailed reflecting charges against the personal account. If the personal account falls below $300.00 for boarding students, parents will be billed for additional funds to replenish the account.

Tuition Payment Plans
Plan I One Payment Plan: Tuition, room and board, fees and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in full by August 1, 2010. Those on Plan I whose payment is not received by August 1st will automatically be transferred to Plan II.
Plan II Two Payment Plan: Tuition, room and board, fees and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in two installments:
  • First payment due by August 1, 2010
  • Second payment due by December 1, 2010
This payment plan reflects a 4% interest charge.

 
Plan III Three Payment Plan: Tuition, room and board, fees and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in three installments:
  • First payment due by August 1, 2010
  • Second payment due by November 1, 2010
  • Third payment due by February 1, 2011
This payment plan reflects an 8% interest charge.

 
Plan IV (Day Only)
Monthly Payment Plan:
Tuition, fees and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in monthly installments by the 1st of each month (9 payments):
  • beginning August 1st
  • ending April 1st
This payment plan reflects a 12% interest charge.

A multiple child discount of $400.00 per child will be awarded for second and subsequent children from the same family if that child is enrolled in the PK4 full day instructional program and has a sibling enrolled in a higher grade level. Multiple child discounts are not applicable to families receiving financial aid. A need based financial aid program is available to all families who wish to apply and whose children are enrolled in the PK4 full day instructional program; applications are available in the admission office. Financial aid is awarded after fully completed applications and accompanying documentation is submitted and until the budget is depleted; meeting established deadlines is highly encouraged. Copies of tax returns and W2 forms are required with the application to assist in determining need.

Tuition Payment Plans
Plan I One Payment Plan: Tuition and fees and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in full by August 1, 2010. Those on Plan I whose payment is not received by August 1st will automatically be transferred to Plan IV.
Plan IV Monthly Payment Plan: Monthly Payment Plan: Tuition and other applicable charges as per Schedule of Charges paid in monthly installments by the 1st of each month (9 payments beginning August 1st and ending April 1st). There is a 2% billing charge for monthly payment plans.
Notes:
  1. Drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. for half day and full day programs.
  2. Half day program instructional day is 7:55 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  3. Full day PK4 students instructional program is 7:55 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. and includes a full compliment of academic enrichment programs.
  4. Half day students pick up begins at 11:30 a.m.; students not picked up by 11:50 a.m. will automatically be enrolled in the Junior Eagles program at a rate of $15.00 per day. There are no prorated hours for the Junior Eagles Program.
  5. Before School and After School care is billed at a minimum hourly rate. Students not picked up by 6:00 p.m. will have a late pick up fee of $15.00 for the first 10 minutes and then $1.00 per minutes after 6:10 p.m.
  6. Students enrolled in the Junior Eagles Program that are not picked up by 3:20 p.m. will automatically be placed in the after school care program at a minimum hourly rate charge of $3.50 per hour.
  7. Half day program participants will bring their own lunch regardless of enrollment in the Junior Eagles Program. Full day instructional students in PK4 will have lunch provided at the Academy.
Before School and After School Hours 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. & 3:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Junior Eagles Hours 11:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
